    Nidec Shows Off Switched Reluctance Motor for EVs, HEVs

    Nidec Corp exhibited a prototype of its switched reluctance (SR) motor for electric vehicles (EVs) and hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) at a trade show.

    The prototype was shown at the 3rd EV & HEV Drive System Technology Expo/the 4th Int'l Automotive Electronics Technology Expo, which took place from Jan 18 to 20, 2012, in Tokyo.
